The Creative Process
Here is a small peak inside Nedal Douaihy’s Studio and the general steps it takes to design and create a Bead Loom Tapestry.
Starting with the original image, going through the weaving stages.
As you can see the steps are not yet complete as this is a tapestry currently in the works, providing you with the latest view into Beading Treasures’ Studio.

A part of the The Sistine Madonna, also called the Madonna di San Sisto. An oil painting by Raphael Sanzio (1513-1514)
The final design that has evolved after the design stage is complete. All the design work is done on computer, working with our client and making sure they love the design. Bearing in mind that the colors in the design are not the actual translation of the colors of the beads.

We support local businesses as much as possible.
I love looking at a newly warped loom.
All those evenly spaced and straight warps just ready to be transformed into something beautiful.
203 in total.
Let the bead weaving begin!
Â
Marking the progress as we go along, using a digital pdf version of the pattern along with GoodNotes and our very own Digital Line Guide (DLG)
It is exciting to see the image coming together in increments.
Â
The tapestry is now ready to be removed from the loom.
This is a very delicate process, the completed tapestry is heavier than it looks.
It must be handled gently, taking care of all those loose warps threads.
This is a time-consuming job. This particular tapestry has 203 warp threads. Since there are warps to be managed on both sides, which makes 406 warps threads altogether. The warps are managed by threading them into a needle, and then sewing them back into the tapestry one by one.
Ready to be packed, shipped and enjoyed.
PLEASE NOTE:Â This is just a temporary frame for now… until the tapestry can be professionally framed
