The sticker book is very a very handy thing to have when digital planning. I will gather and organize all of the digital stickers, widgets, and inserts all in one location for easy access and save time having to look for exactly what you need. It is a repository that you can use with all of your digital planners. Umm yes, I have multiple planners that I use such as the Delica Beading Planner, Pattern Planner, and the Setting up and Beading Planner so this is really helpful for me.
How to use your Sticker book
Using the sticker book is exactly like adding your stickers to a planner. Only they are organized in subcategories of your choosing.
In the Sticker Book available from Beading Treasures, you will find that it is in portrait mode, to facilitate the dragging from one document to the other in GoodNotes, it is also organized into subcategories (Notes, Labels, Numbers, Icons, Widgets, Inserts and Misc.
Each of the 12 sections can be personalized with its own labels which then link to the subsections.
To make it even more functional, there are 12 customizable sections with each section having a space for 6 customizable subsections. These subsections can also be personalized with your own labels and are color coded for ease of reference
There are different methods to add stickers, widgets, or inserts to your sticker book, here is one of the simplest and the best.
To demonstrate the step-by-step instructions below we are using the Icons Stickers available as a giveaway in the Treasury. Please know that the password to the Treasury where all the digital planning freebies from Beading Treasures are kept can only be obtained via a link from within a purchased digital planning product.
Adding Stickers and Widgets PNGs to your Sticker Book using a .goodnotes file.
The .goodnotes file contains pre-cropped images, in this case, icons, that we can transfer to the sticker book more efficiently.
Importing a .goodnotes file
Important: If you have downloaded and stored a .goodnotes file on Google Drive, it will show you the content of the .goodnotes file.
Disregard this and import the .goodnotes file as is into the GoodNotes app.
First, we are going to open the .goodnotes file in Goodnotes and then copy a sticker from one notebook to another using a split screen.
We will be adding these particular icon stickers in the section titled Icons in the Sticker Book.
- Open the GoodNotes App
- Tap the + New icon to add the .goodnotes file as a new notebook
- Select IMPORT from the menu presented
- Open the folder containing the .goodnotes file you wish to import into GoodNotes and click on it to select then tap OPEN import it into Goodnotes
- Open the planner in Goodnotes so that it is ready to receive your sticker. Go straight to where you wish to add the sticker onto a page and open a split screen with both notebooks open side-by-side, the original planner and the newly imported .goodnotes file with the pre-cropped stickers. To do this, tap the 3 dots at the top, find the Goodnotes app, and open the imported notebook with the stickers.
- Make sure you are in EDIT mode by selecting the pencil with the lasso on the top right. Select the LASSO tool from the edit mode menu bar, and long press on it to make sure that IMAGES is toggled on and green.
- Make sure to do this in both of the split screens!
- Select the stickers, in this case, the icons of your choice with the LASSO tool. It does not need to be exact, but make sure you only select the sticker or stickers that you want. Tap and release on the LASSO you made, and select COPY.
- You should be on the page where you want to insert your sticker, with the lasso still around the sticker of your choice. Tap and hold and select PASTE.
- Enlarge your screen with your Sticker book and Icon Stickers.
- Adjust and arrange your new stickers.
How is this sticker book different from any other sticker book?
It is already organized in labeled sections where you simply import your digital stickers and widgets straight in.
It offers personalized sections. 12 sections with 6 subsections that you can name as you wish. That is a total of 72 sections that you access directly to find the sticker or widget you are looking for without wasting precious time flipping through pages.
Just a Heads up…
Beading Treasures Planners are all optimized for speed, however, as in all planners, once you add more and more images the pages will take longer to load. The more stickers you have, the longer the wait. It beats having to look and search through individual files though.
