I remember the first time I came across my first beading acronym or beading abbreviation.
Needless to say, I was puzzled.
I could not for the life of me figure out what aliens had to do with beading. Let alone their mode of transportation. UFO, as it turns out, does not refer to an alien, green or otherwise.
Nor to their mode of transportation as I wrongly assumed.
It refers to an Un-Finished Object. Yep. We have them in the beading world. UFOs.
Dispelling Confusion
I wanted to write up a list of acronyms that are commonly used in association with beading, and also used in online communities such as Facebook. Hopefully, this list of commonly used terminology, abbreviations, and acronyms will help clear up things and eliminate confusion.

Hi there! I’m Nedal.
I created Beading Treasures to make information about beading large tapestries more accessible, and in doing so encouraging creating of this amazing art form.
Weaving big can seem intimidating but by using some techniques it is totally doable, no more than that it is really enjoyable!
